Welcoming the New Cohort: CSE Freshers' Orientation নবীনবরণ’২৪ (Autumn 2024) On Wednesday afternoon, November 13, 2024, JUKTI - Official Club of CSE, IUB hosted the official Freshers' Orientation নবীনবরণ’২৪, welcoming the incoming batch of students into the departmental family with an engaging mix of academic mentorship and cultural celebration. The formal proceedings opened with a welcome address from Habib Bin Muzaffar, Acting Dean of the School of Engineering, Technology and Sciences (SETS). The event was honored by the presence of Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Khandaker Md. Iftekhar Haider as Chief Guest. Distinguished university leaders and departmental faculty in attendance included Dr. Mahady Hasan, Acting Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, alongside faculty members Dr. Md. Faisal Uddin, Sanzar Adnan Alam, and Atif Md. Safi, Head of the Division of Student Activities (DoSA). The speakers extended warm greetings to the incoming students, offering vital academic guidance, university life advice, and motivational words to build confidence as they embark on their undergraduate journey. Following the formal sessions, the celebration shifted into high gear with dynamic musical showcases. Supported by the IUB Music Club, the evening featured electrifying performances from live acts Psyche Trances and DAK The Band, energizing the audience with metal music. With invited campus club representatives adding to the vibrant atmosphere, the orientation provided a memorable, welcoming start for the newest members of the CSE department.
