Recap
Spotlighting Student Innovation: 2nd IUB CSE Annual Research Day (CARD) 2025 On June 19, 2025, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) hosted the 2nd IUB CSE Annual Research Day (CARD 2025) at the IUB Auditorium. JUKTI - Club of CSE, IUB served as the core organizing club partner, driving event management, logistics, and student coordination throughout the daylong symposium. Running from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, CARD 2025 provided an academic stage for undergraduate and graduate innovators to showcase scholarly work, capstone projects, and technical solutions. With an impressive prize pool of up to 200,000 BDT and free open registration, the event drew strong participation across multiple competitive tracks: - 3 Minute Thesis (3MT): Fast-paced, concise research pitches evaluating students' ability to communicate complex CSE concepts clearly and effectively. - Capstone & Thesis Recognitions: Dedicated categories honoring the Best UG Senior Project, Graduate Thesis, and top-tier student researchers across both thesis and non-thesis tracks. - Cross-Disciplinary Research: A specialized segment recognizing standout student researchers from outside the CSE discipline. - Project Showcasing & Poster/Demo Competition: Interactive exhibition booths spanning three primary domains: Hardware prototypes, Software engineering systems, and Peer-reviewed research papers/projects. Faculty evaluators and industry reviewers spent the afternoon evaluating live demonstrations, reviewing technical posters, and quizzing teams on methodology and scalability. Behind the scenes, the JUKTI was the core organizing workforce behind this event, coordinating with the department. The symposium concluded with an awards ceremony celebrating the department's top student researchers and setting a high benchmark for future research initiatives.
